EGGLESTON SHOW 2020 CANCELLED

Is it with great sadness that the Eggleston Show committee have taken the decision to cancel Eggleston Show 2020.
The committee have taken into consideration the governments current guidelines and feel it is impossible to impose social distancing at this years show. The general public, traders and exhibitors safety is the utmost priority for the committee, hence the decision to cancel.

Alan Gent, Eggleston Show Secretary said, “Prior to making the decision to cancel the show, I contacted the committee to gather their thoughts on what could and couldn't be achieved following on from the Governments announcement earlier that week. In the end we unanimously agreed that the show should to be cancelled for 2020.

Naturally we are very disappointed that the show is not going ahead this year as a lot of work had already gone into preparing for the show. Plus we had introduced some new classes which we were looking forward to seeing which included Goats, Retired Race Horses, Veteran Horses and additional Driving Classes. However, we all agree that this is the right decision to make to ensure everyone's safety and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2021”.

The committee would like to thank all supporters, exhibitors, volunteers and attendees who continue to support the show and hope that they will return next year, where plans are already in place to make the show bigger and better.

EGGLESTON SHOW AGM UPDATE

A note about Eggleston show AGM from the secretary:

Following telephone conversations with the other Directors, we have agreed that an Annual General Meeting would constitute a gathering and have decided for the safety of us all we will not be holding one this year. Our Treasurer will produce a balance sheet once we have all the details to hand, and will be available to view later. All committee positions that were agreed for 2020 will be carried forward to 2021.

About The Show

The show will now take place on Saturday 18th September 2021 at Hayberries Farm, Mickleton DL12 0LP.

There will be plenty of things to see and do across the day for people of all ages. All activities will be confirmed nearer the date but make sure you get the date in your diary.

Admission:

Adult £8 each.

Children under 15 yrs £2

Under 5's Free

CASH ONLY at the gate.

There will be free parking on the field and Disabled Parking will be available (only valid to those with a blue badge).
